How it works

• Upload your story. Paste it, or drop a .txt, .md or .pdf. Any length, any genre. Only a title and author are required.

• Watch it build. Cast portraits, locations, story beats and covers appear stage by stage, and you get an email when your cover is ready.

• Approve before anything is drawn. Cast, locations and style are three explicit sign-offs. Change a character by describing it, such as “change the dress colour to green”.

• Every page is scripted and drawn. Panels, narration and dialogue are generated act by act and stay editable the same way.

• Lay out and share. Adjust panels, balloons and spreads in the page editor, then share a read-anywhere link or export a print-ready PDF.

Do I need to know how to draw?

No. The panel breakdown, illustration, lettering and layout are generated from your prose. Your job is judgement: approving the cast, choosing the style and refining panels by describing changes.

Can I pick an unusual art style, like Ligne Claire or risograph?

Yes. Both are among Novvel's 50+ styles, alongside Noir, Manga, Watercolour and B&W Ink, and you can preview your story in several styles before you commit.

Will my characters look the same on every page?
